Coverage
SnapsVault supports a growing list of blockchain networks and snapshot formats. The goal is to provide broad, reliable coverage so node bootstrapping is faster and easier across the ecosystem.
Supported Networks
We maintain snapshots across both mainnet and testnet environments for a number of chains, offering archival and pruned options where applicable so operators can choose the right balance of speed and history for their workflow.
The table below lists the networks that currently provide downloadable snapshots along with key details such as chain ID, type, and client implementation:
| Network | Status | Type | Client | Chain ID |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Celestia | Mainnet | Archival, Pruned | celestia‑app | celestia |
| Celestia | Testnet | Archival, Pruned | celestia‑app | mocha‑4 |
| Namada | Mainnet | Archival, Pruned | namada | namada.5f5de2dd1b88cba30586420 |
| Namada | Testnet | Archival, Pruned | namada | housefire‑alpaca.cc0d3e0c033be |
Additional networks are added regularly based on community demand and contributions, and will appear in both the Marketplace and SnapsOS listings as they are onboarded.
Snapshot Types
Each chain may support one or more snapshot types, such as:
- Archival: Contains the full application state at a specific block height.
- Pruned: Excludes historical data to reduce size and speed up sync.
- Custom: Tailored for light clients or special use cases (coming soon).
Snapshot Updates
Snapshots are refreshed on a regular cadence, typically every 4–48 hours, but exact periods vary by provider and are visible in the Marketplace UI and SnapsOS output for each snapshot.
For the latest timestamps and freshness, check the snapshot card in the UI or list/search via SnapsOS for the target chain.
If you need support for a new network or format, you can submit a request or contribute via GitHub.
